Thanks. We built the Debt-Dog app because credit card debt is ripping apart the moral fabric of the world. Credit Card Debt Sucks, but you don’t have to.
I read a negative review about Debt Dog. What’s up?
The Debt Dog app should be reviewed by a finance person, not people who are hip on reviewing cool games. Oversimplified is a word used in reviews, but when it comes to credit card debt who wants complicated? We made it simple on purpose. Still, reviews are a good way for us to get independent ideas on what is working and what we need to improve. I’m way cool with that because ultimately the Debt Dog credit calculator is for you guys. If the Debt Dog doesn’t save you at least $20 due to credit card debt, we’ll refund the money you paid for the app. For sure.
What’s new in version 2.0?
We added the ability to email results either to yourself or someone else. There was also a calculation error associated with the minimum payment which we fixed.
Is the Debt dog compatible with iTouch?
Yes, it is compatible with iPhone and iTouch. Requires OS 2.2.1 or later.
I notice the figures don’t exactly match my statement. How come?
Lenders use different ways to extort money from you. Monthly late fees, annual fees, and interest rates which are calculated on 30 or 31 day months. Rates are also calculated annually based on 360 or 365 days. Our figures are close enough to alert you to the dangers you may face.
Does being late also affect my balance and payment?
Paying late doesn’t necessarily affect the minimum payment but it does have an adverse affect on your balance. Most credit card companies charge interest daily so if you are paying in 33 days instead of 30 days your interest account will increase. That’s why you should always pay as soon as you can and don’t wait the entire 30 days. Remember-this is not your money and the lender is not going to have to wait for you! They WANT to have to wait for you!
Is there an app for the Blackberry or other platforms?
